Just Culture Ambassador
As a Just Culture ambassador, I’m passionate about helping individuals and organisations tap into the often-underused capabilities of their people. I believe that real progress happens when we take the time to understand how work is actually done – not just how we imagine it on paper.
Too often, our attention is drawn to what goes wrong. But there’s so much to learn from what goes right. By looking at both sides, we can build healthier, safer, and more resilient workplaces where people feel trusted, supported, and empowered to speak up.
In today’s increasingly complex working environments, resilience is not a luxury – it’s a necessity. The ability to adapt, respond, and keep going in the face of change and pressure starts with understanding how people really work and what they need to thrive.
I work with organisations that want to move beyond blame, improve their systems, and unlock the expertise that already exists within their teams. Whether you’re aiming to strengthen your safety culture, improve your processes, or simply see your challenges through a new lens, I’m here to support that journey. Let’s make room for reflection, learning, and growth – together.

About me
Hello, I’m Rudy Pont – a 48-year-old A320 captain with a deep-rooted passion for safety, people, and how the two are inseparably connected. With a background in electromechanical engineering and over 15 years of experience in aviation safety, I’ve come to believe one simple truth: People are safety!
That belief drives everything I do – whether I’m chairing the Air Safety Committee of the Belgian Cockpit Association (BeCA), contributing to the EUROCONTROL Just Culture Task Force, or serving as vice-chair of the Belgian Just Culture Platform. I’m also proud to represent Belgium as IFALPA Director and hold multiple MSc degrees in Air Safety Management (City University of London), Safety Sciences and Applied Engineering (University of Antwerp) where I am also a part-time lecturer.
My passion lies in building bridges – fitting, perhaps, since Pont means bridge in French. Whether it’s between frontline staff and management, between aviation and other industries, or even between the legal world and regulatory bodies, I see value in creating understanding and connection. I strongly advocate for Just Culture, Safety-II, and Organisational Learning; approaches that not only help us learn from things that go wrong but also from the everyday successes that keep systems running smoothly.
Through my consultancy work, I aim to help organisations become more resilient, more human, and more capable of facing the increasing complexity of today’s work environments. Let’s connect and start building those bridges together.
